How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with 14 days free with all of the plan's features and up to two add-ons switched on. No card is needed. At the end of the trial you choose a plan and pay by mobile money, card or bank; your data, products and users carry straight over.
What do I save by paying yearly?
Yearly billing charges 10 months and gives you 12: two months free on the plan, on every add-on and on extra users or locations. Deluxe, for example, is UGX 5,380,000 a year instead of UGX 6,456,000. You receive one tax invoice for the year.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time from Settings, Subscription. Upgrades take effect immediately and you only pay the difference for the days left in your period. Downgrades apply at the next renewal so you never lose paid time.
How do add-on modules work?
An add-on is a module you switch on for your whole business: Restaurant, Gym, CRM and so on. It is billed with your plan, pro-rated when you add it mid-period, and can be removed at renewal. Modules already included in your plan (HR & Payroll on Deluxe, Manufacturing on Plus) never appear on your bill, and Accounting is free on every plan.
How does Kit AI usage work?
Every plan includes a weekly Kit AI token allowance: 125,000 tokens a week on Economy, 625,000 on Deluxe and 2,500,000 on Plus; Custom plans get a tailored allowance. The week is spread over 5-hour windows (25,000 / 125,000 / 500,000) so one busy afternoon cannot use up the whole week. When a busy month needs more, Kit AI keeps answering and the extra usage draws on your business credits, a prepaid wallet you top up any time in Billing, Credits. You get a low-balance alert before it runs out, and usage is shown week by week in Billing. Kit AI is never a separate plan or a priced add-on.
What counts as a user or a location?
A user is any person with their own login: cashiers, managers, accountants. A location is a shop, branch, warehouse or kitchen with its own stock. Each plan includes an allowance; beyond that an extra user is UGX 10,000 / month and an extra location UGX 50,000 / month.
Can I pay in US dollars?
Yes. Switch the page to USD to see every price converted at UGX 3,720 per dollar; we update the rate monthly and the USD figure on your invoice is fixed for the period you pay. Card payments in USD are accepted; mobile money settles in shillings.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
Yes. Every price on this page includes Ugandan VAT at 18%, so the figure you see is the figure you pay. Your invoice shows the VAT portion separately and is EFRIS-compliant, so registered businesses can claim input tax.
Which payment methods do you accept?
MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, Visa and Mastercard, and bank transfer for yearly and Custom plans. You can also pay from within Kit using Kit Pay. Receipts are e-mailed instantly.
Who owns my data, and can I export it?
You do. Export sales, stock, contacts and accounting to Excel or CSV at any time, on any plan. If you leave, your data stays available for 90 days for export, then it is deleted. Backups are taken daily and stored encrypted.
